Moses Preston was born about 1762 in Bedford Co, VA, died in 1842 in Lawrence Co, KY buried in Lawrence County, KY. In the Moses Preston Cemetery.  At the Intersection of US 23 & Hwy 645 at Ulysses, KY drives 1.6 miles to Hwy 581 and take Hwy 581 north 2.5 miles to the cemetery located on right next to the river.  GPS N37.91935° W082.67045°.  Proven patriot by the NSSAR and the NSDAR.

Served VA Line, W8533, Soldier lived in Bedford County, VA  at enlistment and moved to Floyd Co, KY about 1802 where he applied for his pension 16 June 1818, age 55.  He served as a Private u nder Maj Hill; Capt Boyer; Cols Buford & Campbell.  He married Fanny Arthur 9 July 1783 in Bedford County, VA, soldier died 18 April1842 in Lawrence County, KY.
